Singapore and Pakistan exchange disaster-management cooperation agreement
The two countries set out cooperation on early warnings, rescue capabilities, training and exercises.
The framework links Singapore’s Civil Defence Force with Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority. It covers sharing disaster-risk knowledge, developing coordinated rescue support and working together on early warning systems.
What changed
Ministers exchanged the disaster-management memorandum in Islamabad on 30 October.
Who this is for
Civil-protection and disaster-management agencies in Singapore and Pakistan.
Dates & context
The exchange establishes a cooperation framework. It does not demonstrate that new warning systems, rescue capacity or joint exercises have already been delivered. This is institutional preparedness, not a new household-supply recommendation.
