EU launches Preparedness Union Strategy with 72-hour household-supply objective

The Commission and High Representative launched a 30-action strategy addressing public preparedness, essential services and coordinated crisis response.

Its population-preparedness objective encourages practical measures including essential supplies for a minimum of 72 hours. Other planned actions cover critical stocks, preparedness education, a crisis hub and joint exercises.
