Denmark opens DKK 2 million fund for free public preparedness courses
SAMSIK opened a second-year funding round for civil-society organisations to provide free preparedness courses, instruction and learning materials. The 2026 allocation was DKK 2 million, with applications due on 24 September.
The scheme aims to make free instruction more widely available so people understand disruptions such as loss of electricity, internet or water and know how to respond. Organisations could seek support for courses, teaching programmes and educational resources.
What changed
An expansion of public preparedness education, not a change to household supply recommendations. The application window has passed; this launch notice does not verify subsequent awards or delivered courses.
Who this is for
Civil-society delivery of public preparedness education.
Dates & context
The announcement distinguishes the current DKK 2 million round from the previous year, when DKK 6.5 million went to eight organisations. Those earlier recipients are not evidence of who received the 2026 funding.
