Belgium publishes a practical preparedness guide in its multi-year campaign

Belgium’s National Crisis Centre published a practical guide on 1 October 2026 covering reliable information, household emergency plans, tailored kits and protective actions. The centre’s current kit guidance separately recommends at least 72 hours of home autonomy and distinguishes supplies to take when leaving from supplies for staying at home.

What changed

A new brochure in the second phase of the four-year Prêts. Ensemble campaign, not evidence that the 72-hour advice first began in October. The campaign launched on 21 April 2026; its announcement was published on 20 April.
